An organizer, Ikke Dewi Sartika, informed on Tuesday that the participating countries are Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Brunei Darussalam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Japan, South Korea, Timor Leste, Australia and Indonesia.
A parade of vehicles decorated with flowers will be organized from Lembang to Bandung city.
According to her, the festival is expected to motivate local flower farmers to enhance their productivity and will underline BandungĂ‚¿s claim to be known as the Indonesian city of flowers.
Furthermore, Ikke explained that the event is also aimed at building cooperation among academicians, businesses and governments of ASEAN member countries.
Besides the parade, the festival will also feature an exhibition and a workshop on flower arrangements. (WDY)
